Saint Padre Pio

Today, September 23, 2021, we celebrate the feast of the beautiful soul, Saint Padre Pio. He was gifted with all the wounds of the stigmata, was a mystic, was reported to have been able to bilocate and was a wonderful healer. Spending hours upon hours in the confession, he was able to tell people who came to him, what their sins were, to help them release them, before they even said anything to him. Padre Pio is a saint that is just so needed in our world today to turn to, because of his beautiful example of charity, love for those he felt were his "spiritual children" and of course, last but absolutely never least, his love of Jesus and Mary.
He is a powerful intercessor, who is healing, protective and very close to God. He is quoted as saying:
“I love my Spiritual Children as much as my own soul, and even more.”
“To my Spiritual Children, my prayers for you will never be lacking.”
If one of my spiritual children ever goes astray, I shall leave my flock and seek him out.”
“I shall stand at the gates of Paradise until all my spiritual children have entered.”
“Once I take a soul on, I also take on their entire family as my spiritual children.”

\
Prayer

O Saint Padre Pio, holy bearer of the Wounds of Christ, accept us this day as your spiritual sons and daughters and keep us always on the narrow path by your intercession. And do thou, O our Spiritual Father, stay there at the Gates of Heaven until all of your spiritual children have entered through, even and including us. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Dear Padre Pio, I recall your promise to the Lord, “Lord, I will stand at the gates of heaven until I see all my spiritual children have entered.” Encouraged by your gracious promise, I ask you to accept me as a spiritual child and to intercede for my prayer requests (Here state your petitions) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Padre Pio, Pray for us!

PSALM 91 : GOD’S PROMISE TO PROTECT YOU

PSALM 91

PROTECTION FROM GOD

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I (we) ask You to place  protection around me (us). Hide me (us) from the enemy, familiar spirits, any and all demon spirits, making it difficult and impossible for them to trace me in the realm of the spirit. Let there be no perforations or penetrations to Your protection according to your word in Psalm 91. I(we) know that You will answer this prayer because I (we) love You and I(we) trust in Your name.  I pray that Your blood Lord Jesus will cover me(us) and all that You have given me(us).  That the enemy will not have access to what has been given to me(us).Thank you for your divine protection in Jesus Name, Amen.

CHAPLET OF ST. MICHAEL ARCHANGEL

CHAPLET OF
ST. MICHAEL ARCHANGEL

One day, Saint Michael the Archangel appeared to Antonia d'Astonac, a most devout Servant of God and told her that he wished to be honored by nine salutations corresponding to the nine Choirs of Angels, which should consist of one Our Father and three Hail Mary's in honor of each of the Angelic Choirs.

What is the chaplet in the Catholic Church?

A chaplet is a personal devotional prayer that can be prayed privately or in a group, out loud or silently, in a church or in an ordinary setting. There are different types of chaplets, and the two most common are the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Who is St Michael?

Saint Michael is an archangel, a spiritual warrior in the battle of good versus evil. He is considered a champion of justice, a healer of the sick, and the guardian of the Church. In art Saint Michael is depicted with a sword, a banner, or scales, and is often shown vanquishing Satan in the form of a dragon. Archangel Michael is the angel of protection. And you can call upon Michael for protection over every aspect there is to think of.

What happens when you pray the St Michael chaplet?

Praying the chaplet is said to provide the assistance from Saint Michael the Archangel and the company of one angel from each of the nine celestial choirs when approaching Holy Communion. Praying the
chaplet is also believed gradually to defeat demons and grant a Pure Heart thus delivering from Purgatory.

Promises of St. Michael

"Whoever would practice this devotion in his honor would have, when approaching the Holy Table, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs. In addition, for the daily recital of these nine salutations, he promised his continual assistance and that all the holy angels during life, and after death deliverance from Purgatory for themselves and all their relations."

How to pray the Chaplet of Michael Archangel

The Chaplet is concluded with the following prayers:

"O glorious Prince St. Michael,
chief and commander of the heavenly hosts,
guardian of souls,
vanquisher of rebel spirits,
servant in the house of the Divine King,
and our admirable conductor,
thou who dost shine with excellence and superhuman virtue,
vouchsafe to deliver us from all evil,
who turn to thee with confidence,
and enable us by thy gracious protection
to serve God more and more faithfully every day.

Amen."

V. Pray for us, O Glorious St. Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ.
R. That we may be made worthy of His Promises.

Prayer

"Almighty and everlasting God,
who by a prodigy of Goodness
and a merciful desire
for the salvation of all men,
has appointed the most glorious Archangel St. Michael,
Prince of Thy Church,
make us worthy,
we beseech Thee,
to be delivered by his powerful protection
from all our enemies,
that none of them may harass us
at the hour of our death,
but that we may be conducted by him
into the august presence of Thy Divine Majesty.
This we beg through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen."
