 PRAYER FOR PROTECTION

To be prayed at the beginning of the day and every time there is a suspicion of a malevolent spirit.

V. Our help is in the name ✠ of the Lord.

R. Who has made heaven and earth.

V. In the name of the ✠ Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

R. Amen.

Lord, almighty, merciful and omnipotent God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, drive out from me all influence of evil spirits. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I plead you to break any chain that the Devil has on me. Pour upon me the most Precious Blood of your Son. May his immaculate and redeeming blood break all bonds of my body or mind. I ask you this through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Archangel St Michael, intercede and come to my help. In the name of Jesus I command all demons that could have any influence over me to leave me forever. By his scourging, his crown of thorns, his cross, by his blood and resurrection. I command all evil spirits to leave me. By the true ✠ God, by the Holy ✠ God, by ✠ God who can do all, in the name of Jesus, my Savior and Lord, leave me. Amen.

Prayer for the Sick

 PRAYER FOR THE SICK

Lord Jesus Christ You bore our sufferings and carried our sorrows in order to show us clearly the value of human weakness and patience; graciously hear our prayers for the sick. Grant that those who are weighed down with pain and other afflictions of illness may realize that they are among the chosen ones whom You call blessed. Help them to understand that they are united with You in Your sufferings for the salvation of the world. Amen.

Prayer To Saint Joseph for a Soul in Purgatory

Devote time to pray for the souls of departed loved ones. St. Joseph is the Patron of a peaceful and happy death, and is also a very powerful intercessor for the souls in purgatory.  Let us pray with him. 

Prayer :

Saint Joseph, reigning in heaven with Jesus and Mary, intercede for the souls in purgatory.  Today in particular, I ask you to turn your gaze to the soul who is most forgotten in purgatory. This soul longs to see the face of God. O good father, ask the Holy Trinity  to take this soul to the glory of heaven today. 

Remember me Saint Joseph when I die. I beg you to be prompt in delivering me from purgatory, so that I can see you, Jesus and Mary, face to face. Amen. 

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL, FOR PROTECTION AGAINST THE SCOURGE OF THE PANDEMIC

Saint Michael is an archangel, a spiritual warrior in the battle of good versus evil. He is considered a champion of justice, a healer of the sick, and the guardian of the Church. In art Saint Michael is depicted with a sword, a banner, or scales, and is often shown vanquishing Satan in the form of a dragon.

God, Almighty Father, through the powerful patronage of St. Michael the Archangel and the whole Angelic Hosts of Heaven, we entrust our lives, our families, our loved ones, those we cherish, our people, our nation, and the whole human race. Empower St. Michael and the holy angels to crush Satan and his minions, invisible and visible that cause the spread of the pandemic. Stem and destroy the advancement of the COVID-19 that has claimed many lives. Through the protection of the holy angels headed by St. Michael the Archangel defend Your people from sickness and untimely death. This we humbly ask of You, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, Queen of Angels, St. Joseph, Protector of Holy Church, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the sovereign King. Amen.

 A PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN

(Much recommended by the holy Priest J.M. Vianney, commonly called the Curé of Ars.)

Thou, Most Holy Virgin,

who dost evermore stand before the throne

of the Most Holy Trinity,

and to whom it is granted at all times

to pray for us to the most beloved Son,

pray for me in all my necessities;

help me, combat for me, give thanks for me,

and obtain for me pardon of all my sins;

help me especially at my last hour,

and, when I can no longer

give any sign of the use of reason,

then do thou encourage me,

make the sign of the cross for me,

sprinkle me with holy water,

and fight for me against the enemy.

Make in my name a profession of faith;

favour me with a testimony of my salvation,

and never let me despair of the mercy of God.

Help me to overcome the wicked enemy;

and when I can no longer say,

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

I place my soul in your hands,

say it for me;

and when I can no longer hear

human words of consolation,

then do thou comfort me.

Leave me not before I have been judged;

and if I have to expiate my sins in purgatory,
