Prayer to Saint Joseph for all the Priests and Religious

" O GLORIOUS SAINT JOSEPH, you were chosen by God to be the foster father of JESUS, the most pure spouse of MARY, ever Virgin, and the head of the Holy Family. You have been chosen by Christ's Vicar as the heavenly Patron and Protector of the Church founded by Christ.

Protect the Sovereign Pontiff and all bishops and priests united with him. Be the protector of all who labour for souls amid the trials and tribulations of this life; and grant that all peoples of the world may be docile to the Church without which there is no salvation.

Dear Saint Joseph, accept the offering I make to you. Be my father, protector, and guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me purity of heart and a love for the spiritual life. After your example, let all my actions be directed to the greater glory of God, in union with the SACRED HEART OF JESUS, the IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY, and your own paternal heart. Finally, pray for me that I may share in the peace and joy of your holy death. Amen. "

“ By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; FOR DUST YOU ARE AND TO DUST YOU WILL RETURN. ”

— Genesis 3:19

PRAYER:
ALMIGHTY AND ETERNAL GOD, today marks the beginning of a period of inner reflection and examination. Father, the days stretch before me and invite me inward to that silent, holy space that houses Your Holy Spirit. This special period invites me to examine my life through our Lord Jesus Christ’s eyes and the truth and reality of Your love embodied. Father, give me the grace to enter the atmosphere of these days of lent with anticipation of our meeting. Lord, when I open my heart to Your presence, let Your loving kindness flow over me and seep into the pockets of my soul. I ask this for the sake of Your love. “ CREATE IN ME A PURE HEART, O GOD, AND RENEW A STEADFAST SPIRIT WITHIN ME ” (Psalm 51:10). Amen.

GOD of goodness and mercy, hear my prayer as I begin this Lenten journey with You. Guide me as I humbly seek to repent and return to Your love. May humility guide my efforts to be reconciled with You and live forever in Your abundant grace.

Transform me this Lent, Heavenly Father. Give me the strength to commit myself to grow closer to You each day. I humbly ask You this, through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR PEACE BY POPE FRANCIS FOR UKRAINE

FOR UKRAINE: A PRAYER FOR PEACE BY POPE FRANCIS

Lord God of peace, hear our prayer!

We have tried so many times and over so many years
to resolve our conflicts by our own powers and by the force of our arms.

How many moments of hostility and darkness have we experienced?

How much blood has been shed?

How many lives have been shattered?

How many hopes have been buried?

But our efforts have been in vain.

Now, Lord, come to our aid!

Grant us peace, teach us peace;
guide our steps in the way of peace.

Open our eyes and our hearts,
and give us the courage to say: "Never again war!";
"With war everything is lost".

Instill in our hearts the courage to take concrete steps to achieve peace.

Lord, God of Abraham, God of the Prophets, God of Love,
you created us and you call us to live as brothers and sisters.

Give us the strength daily to be instruments of peace;
enable us to see everyone who crosses our path as our brother or sister.

Make us sensitive to the plea of our citizens
who entreat us to turn our weapons of war into implements of peace,
our trepidation into confident trust,
and our quarreling into forgiveness.

Keep alive within us the flame of hope,
so that with patience and perseverance
we may opt for dialogue and reconciliation.

In this way may peace triumph at last,
and may the words "division," "hatred," and "war"
be banished from the heart of every man and woman.

Lord, defuse the violence of our tongues and our hands.

Renew our hearts and minds,
so that the word which always brings us together will be "brother,"
and our way of life will always be that of: Shalom, Peace, Salaam!

Amen.

Mother Teresa's Fragrance
Prayer

Mother Teresa took a well-loved prayer poem by Cardinal John Henry Newman (1801-1890), changed the singular to plural, and prayed it every day after Communion with her Sisters of Charity. Here’s the prayer poem.

Dear Jesus, help me to spread Your fragrance everywhere I go.
Flood my soul with Your spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly, that my life may only be a radiance of Yours.

Shine through me, and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul.
Let them look up and see no longer me, but only Jesus!

Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others; the light, O Jesus will be all from You; none of it will be mine; it will be you, shining on others through me.
Let me thus praise You the way You love best, by shining on those around me.

Let me preach You without preaching, not by words but by my example, by the catching force of the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to You.
