Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit

O Lord Jesus Christ, Who, before ascending into heaven, did promise to send the Holy Spirit to finish Your work in the souls of Your Apostles and Disciples, dare to grant the same Holy Spirit to me, that He may perfect in my soul the work of Your grace and Your love.

Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom, that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal,

the Spirit of Understanding, to enlighten my mind with the light of Your truth,

the Spirit of Counsel, that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven,

the Spirit of Fortitude, that I may bear my cross with You, and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation,

the Spirit of Knowledge, that I may know God and know myself and grow more perfect in the science of the Saints,

the Spirit of Piety, that I may find peace and fulfillment in the service of God while serving others,

the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God, and may dread in any way to displease Him.

Teach me, dear Lord, to be your faithful disciple and animate me in all things with Your Spirit.

Take me under thy protection. Defend me from the onslaughts of the evil one. Above all, intercede with the Almighty to grant me the pardon for my sins and make me persevere on the right path. Amen.

Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of JESUS' PRECIOUS BLOOD. Let the fire of Your healing love pass through my entire body to heal and make new any diseased areas so that my body will function the way you created it to function. Touch also my mind and my emotion, even the deepest recesses of my heart.

 

Saturate my entire being with Your presence, love, joy and peace and draw me ever closer to you every moment of my life. And FATHER, FILL ME WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT and empower me to do Your works so that my life will bring glory and honor to Your holy Name. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
