PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

(pray for 3 days or 3 hours straight)

Holy Spirit, You who make me see everything and showed me the way to reach my ideals, You who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me and You who are in all instances of my life with me, I want to thank You for everything and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from You no matter how great the material desire may be. I want to be with You and my loved ones in Your perpetual glory. Amen

REMEMBER, O most pure Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, my great Protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection, or implored your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding therefore in your goodness, I come before you. Do not turn down my petitions, foster Father of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, but graciously receive them. Amen.

Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker

 SAINT JOSEPH THE WORKER

Today as the World celebrates Labor Day, the Church also remembers Saint Joseph the Worker. Saint Joseph was the foster father of our Lord Jesus Christ, refer to the Gospel of Matthew 1: 18-25.

He was a man of integrity and of great heart.

He taught the Lord Jesus real human life and He also taught us the importance of fulfilling our answer to every task we are assigned.

In 1870 Holy Father Pius IX proclaimed Saint Joseph as Patron saint and Holy Father Benedict XV also declared Saint Joseph to be the Protector of the Workers.

In 1955 Holy Father Pius XII officially sanctioned the festival to coincide with the International Workers' Day.

Reflection:

This life of Saint Joseph the Worker teaches us to value legitimate work as the basis and dignity of every human being in the eyes of men because unemployment is against the precepts and will of GOD, GOD himself also worked, refer to the book of Genesis about creation we read that GOD worked read Genesis 1: 1 -.The Apostle Paul in one of his sermons or writings to emphasize the importance of work and said that he who does not work should not eat.

We are invited today to be people to do and appreciate our legitimate work in order to be able to run our daily lives otherwise it would be a great sin to live without working.

Oh, most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendour of Heaven. Blessed Mother of the Son of God; Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity (mention your request here). There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3 times). Holy Mary, I place this prayer in your hands (3 times). Amen.

As we enter the month of May with the memorial of St Joseph the Worker on May 1st, let us turn to Saint Joseph to teach us the awareness of the presence of God in all circumstances. Of course, we also think of the Blessed Virgin Mary to whom we lovingly dedicate the month of May. Jesus is truth and Mary is trust!

A PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH FOR EMPLOYMENT

Dear Saint Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety with my present inability to support my family. Please help me find gainful employment very soon, so that this great burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care. Help me guard against discouragement, so that I may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.
