PRAYER TO OUR LORD JESUS*

O Jesus, my Savior, my Lord and my God, my God and my All, who, through the sacrifice of the cross, redeemed us and overcame the power of Satan, I beseech You to free me from every harmful presence and influence of evil.

I ask this in Your Name;

I ask this for the sake of Your wounds,

I ask this through Your blood,

I ask this for the sake of Your cross,

I ask this through the intercession of Mary, Immaculate and Virgin, our Lady of Sorrows. May the blood and water which gushed forth from Your side flow down upon me to purify, free, and heal me. Amen.

Prostrate at thy holy feet, Great Queen of Heaven, I venerate thee with profoundest reverence, and acknowledge thee as the DAUGHTER of God the Father, the MOTHER of the Divine Word, and the SPOUSE of the Holy Ghost. Thou art the treasurer and the distributor of Their mercies. It is because of thy most pure heart, so full of charity, sweetness, and tenderness for sinners, that I call thee Mother of Divine Compassion. Wherefore I present myself to thee with great confidence, my most loving mother; I am in affliction and filled with anguish, and I pray thee to make me taste the truth of thy love by granting me the grace I ask of thee, if it be conformable to the Divine Will and good for my soul (Here name your petitions). I entreat thee to turn thy most pure eyes upon me and all belonging to me, especially those who have recommended themselves to my prayers. Cardinal Pedicini himself took this prayer to the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius VII, who, by a rescript of the 6th March, 1809, granted an indulgence of a hundred days, to be gained for every recital, with a plenary indulgence once a month on the usual conditions."

Lord, almighty, merciful and omnipotent God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, drive out from me all influence of evil spirits. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I plead you to break any chain that the Devil has on me. Pour upon me the most Precious Blood of your Son. May his immaculate and redeeming blood break all bonds of my body or mind. I ask you this through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Archangel St Michael, intercede and come to my help. In the name of Jesus I command all demons that could have any influence over me to leave me forever. By his scourging, his crown of thorns, his cross, by his blood and resurrection. Lord Jesus Christ You bore our sufferings and carried our sorrows in order to show us clearly the value of human weakness and patience; graciously hear our prayers for the sick. Grant that those who are weighed down with pain and other afflictions of illness may realize that they are among the chosen ones whom You call blessed. Help them to understand that they are united with You in Your sufferings for the salvation of the world. Amen.

Devote time to pray for the souls of departed loved ones. St. Joseph is the Patron of a peaceful and happy death, and is also a very powerful intercessor for the souls in purgatory.  Let us pray with him. 

Prayer :

Saint Joseph, reigning in heaven with Jesus and Mary, intercede for the souls in purgatory.  Today in particular, I ask you to turn your gaze to the soul who is most forgotten in purgatory. This soul longs to see the face of God. O good father, ask the Holy Trinity  to take this soul to the glory of heaven today. 

Remember me Saint Joseph when I die. I beg you to be prompt in delivering me from purgatory, so that I can see you, Jesus and Mary, face to face. Amen.

Thou, Most Holy Virgin,

who dost evermore stand before the throne

of the Most Holy Trinity,

and to whom it is granted at all times

to pray for us to the most beloved Son,

pray for me in all my necessities;

help me, combat for me, give thanks for me,

and obtain for me pardon of all my sins;

help me especially at my last hour,

and, when I can no longer

give any sign of the use of reason,

then do thou encourage me,

make the sign of the cross for me,

sprinkle me with holy water,

and fight for me against the enemy.

Make in my name a profession of faith;

favour me with a testimony of my salvation,

and never let me despair of the mercy of God.

Help me to overcome the wicked enemy;
