Ask God's favor and mercy and For your special intentionsSay this Litany of the Sacred Passion of Jesus

 Litany of the Sacred Passion

The Litany of the Sacred Passion draws together all the events of Jesus' dying day.

Lord Jesus, at the Last Supper you knew that Judas, one of the Twelve, would betray you.
~GOOD LORD, DELIVER US FROM FALSE FRIENDS AND TREACHERY.

Lord Jesus, during the supper, you humbly washed the feet of your disciples.
~GOOD LORD, MAKE US MEEK AND HUMBLE OF HEART.

Lord Jesus, at the Last Supper, you gave us the sacrament of your broken body and outpoured blood.
~GOOD LORD, WE WORSHIP THE SEAL OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT.

Lord Jesus, you asked your disciples to watch and pray with you in the Garden of Gethsemane.
~GOOD LORD, KEEP US AWAKE AND WATCHFUL WITH YOU.

Lord Jesus, at your betrayal and arrest all your friends fled in fear and deserted you.
~GOOD LORD, GIVE US COURAGE IN TIME OF TRIAL.

Lord Jesus, you were falsely accused and condemned for speaking the truth before Caiaphas, the high priest.
~GOOD LORD, MAY WE SPEAK TRUTH IN THE FACE OF INJUSTICE.

Lord Jesus, in the courtyard of the high priest, Simon Peter swore three times that he did not know you.
~GOOD LORD, MAKE US FAITHFUL IN TIME OF TEMPTATION.

Lord Jesus, Pilate traded you for a murderer and handed you over to crucifixion.
~GOOD LORD, HAVE MERCY ON US SINNERS.

Lord Jesus, you were beaten, mocked, and humiliated by Pilate's soldiers.
~GOOD LORD, MAY WE SUFFER GLADLY FOR YOUR SAKE.

Lord Jesus, on the cross you were taunted and derided as King of the Jews.
~GOOD LORD, MAY WE ALWAYS LIVE IN OBEDIENCE TO YOU.

Lord Jesus, on the cross you forgave your enemies.
~GOOD LORD, GIVE US THE GRACE TO FORGIVE OURS.

Lord Jesus, from the cross you promised paradise to a repentant criminal.
~GOOD LORD, MAKE US LONG FOR PARADISE AND ETERNAL BLISS.

Lord Jesus, from the cross you confided your Blessed Mother to your beloved disciple.
~GOOD LORD, MAKE US CHILDREN OF MARY.

Lord Jesus, you cried out in agony to your Father and died with a loud cry.
~GOOD LORD, HAVE MERCY ON US, NOW AND AT THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH.

Lord Jesus, the Roman centurion recognized you as the Son of God.
~GOOD LORD, MAY WE ALWAYS PRAISE AND EXALT YOU AS OUR BLESSED SAVIOR.

Lord Jesus, you were taken down from the cross and laid in the arms of your sorrowful Mother.
~GOOD LORD, ENTRUST US TO THE CARE OF YOUR BLESSED MOTHER.

Lord Jesus, Joseph of Arimathea wrapped your body in a linen shroud and laid you in his rock-hewn tomb.
~GOOD LORD, GRANT US THE GIFT OF TEARS AT THE MEMORY OF YOUR SUFFERING, DEATH, AND BURIAL.

Lord Jesus, the women who had followed you from Galilee watched as you were put to rest in the tomb.
~GOOD LORD, WE AWAIT WITH JOY YOUR GLORIOUS RESURRECTION ON THE THIRD DAY.

(Pause for special intentions.)

We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you,
~FOR BY YOUR HOLY CROSS YOU HAVE REDEEMED THE WORLD.

We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you,
~FOR BY YOUR HOLY CROSS YOU HAVE REDEEMED THE WORLD.

Closing Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ,
you were fastened with nails
to the wood of the cross
and raised on high for all to see.
As the sun grew dark and the earth quaked,
you surrendered your spirit to your Father,
descended among the dead,
broke open the gates of hell,
and freed those bound in darkness.
As angel choirs rejoiced,
you were raised to life again on the third day,
destroying death by your own death
and canceling the power of sin.
By these mighty deeds on our behalf,
rescue us from our blindness and tepidity,
inspire us anew by your Holy Spirit,
and lead us into a life of prayer and service
worthy of your awesome sacrifice,
O Savior of the world,
living and reigning with the Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
~AMEN.

May the glorious passion of our Lord Jesus Christ bring us to the joys of paradise.
~AMEN.

A Beautiful Prayer to Say this Christmas

Christmas Prayer

Lord God, heavenly Father, we give thanks that in your great mercy and compassion you allowed your dear Son to become incarnate and through him redeemed us from sin and eternal death. Enlighten our hearts by your Holy Spirit that we may always be thankful for such grace and be comforted in all trouble and temptation, and at last, obtain eternal salvation; through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one true God, now and forever. Amen.

Prayer to Jesus

Jesus our Master, Walk with Us

Jesus our Master, walk with us on the road as we yearn to reach the heavenly country, so that following your light, we may stay on the way of righteousness, and never wander into the horrible darkness of this world’s night, while you, the way, the truth, and the life, are shining within us.

A Prayer of love to Jesus by Saint Bonaventure

Prayer for the Love of Jesus

Ah! sweet Jesus, pierce the marrow of my soul with the healthful arrows of your love, that it may truly burn, and melt, and languish, with the desire for you alone; that it may desire to be dissolved and to be with you; let it hunger alone for the bread of life; let it thirst after you, the spring and fountain of eternal light, the stream of true pleasure; let it always desire you, seek you, and find you, and sweetly rest in you. Amen.

Receive what you desire this Season, according to God's Holy will .Say a Prayer Now to the Holy Spirit for your special intentions

Prayer to the Holy Ghost for a Special Favor

O HOLY GHOST, Thou art the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity! Thou art the Spirit of truth, love and holiness, proceeding from the Father and the Son, and equal to Them in all things! I adore Thee and love Thee with all my heart. Teach me to know and to seek God, by whom and for whom I was created. Fill my heart with a holy fear and a great love of Him. Give me compunction and patience, and do not let me fall into sin.

Increase in me faith, hope and charity, and bring forth in me all the virtues proper to my state of life. Help me to grow in the four cardinal virtues, Thy seven Gifts and Thy twelve Fruits.

Make me a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, an obedient child of the Church, and a help to my neighbor. Give me the grace to keep the Commandments and to receive the Sacraments worthily. Raise me to holiness in the state of life to which Thou hast called me, and lead me through a happy death to everlasting life. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Grant me also, O Holy Ghost, Giver of all good gifts, the special favor for which I ask (name it), if it be for Thy honor and glory and for my well-being.

Glory be to the Father and, to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

Prayer for the New Year 2021

PRAYER FOR THE YEAR OF MISSIO AD GENTES 2021

Lord God and our loving Father, you sent your Son into the world to preach the Good News of Salvation to all: to the sinners, the poor, the oppressed, the sick, to the abandoned and the rejected. He gave his life on the Cross for us, and rose to new life, to save and restore us to you. You send the Holy Spirit to the Apostles to continue the work of your Son and lead all in the way of salvation. We thank you, Father, for leading us from darkness to light. Through your loving plan, five hundred years ago, missionaries came to our country to preach the Gospel of Jesus, your Son, to our ancestors, making us your people and the Church. The gift of faith accompanies us through the darkness as well as the light, the failure and the victory in our history as your people. Our faith became a real light to us, shining in the midst of darkness. Renew in us the grace of your Spirit that inspires us to be witnesses of Jesus, your Son, to a world stricken by human greed, cruelty, injustice, pain and suffering. Our faith would have united us as your children to care for and love one another. May the Holy Spirit empower us, so that we may be evangelizers to our brothers here in Asia and in all nations. Give us the sincere desire to help others, so that they may believe in the Lord Jesus and so that they may share in your joy and life. Blessed Mother, and Star of Evangelization, may be with us and pray for us in our lives and share our faith with others. Our great love and devotion to her as our Beloved Mother, will shape us so that we can be true disciples and witnesses of Jesus to all, always ready to be sent, and always obedient to whatever ' Jesus will ask us. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. AMEN.

Know about the Story of Saint Andrew, Brother of Peter November 30 Feast Day

🕊 SAINT OF THE DAY 🕊

🙏🏻 SAINT ANDREW 🙏🏻

(Feast Day: Nov. 30)

Pray for us!

Saint Andrew’s Story

Andrew was Saint Peter’s brother, and was called with him. “As [Jesus] was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is now called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. He said to them, ‘Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ At once they left their nets and followed him” (Matthew 4:18-20).

John the Evangelist presents Andrew as a disciple of John the Baptist. When Jesus walked by one day, John said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” Andrew and another disciple followed Jesus. “Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, ‘What are you looking for?’ They said to him, ‘Rabbi (which translated means Teacher), where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come, and you will see.’ So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day” (John 1:38-39a).

Little else is said about Andrew in the Gospels. Before the multiplication of the loaves, it was Andrew who spoke up about the boy who had the barley loaves and fishes. When the Gentiles went to see Jesus, they came to Philip, but Philip then had recourse to Andrew.

Legend has it that Andrew preached the Good News in what is now modern Greece and Turkey and was crucified at Patras on an X-shaped cross.

Reflection

As in the case of all the apostles except Peter and John, the Gospels give us little about the holiness of Andrew. He was an apostle. That is enough. He was called personally by Jesus to proclaim the Good News, to heal with Jesus’ power and to share his life and death. Holiness today is no different. It is a gift that includes a call to be concerned about the Kingdom, an outgoing attitude that wants nothing more than to share the riches of Christ with all people.

Say this powerful prayer of Mother Teresa to help you find the best way to change your life miraculously

This was the favorite prayer of St Mother Theresa

Dear Jesus, help me to spread Your fragrance wherever I go.

Flood my soul with Your spirit and life.

Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly, that my life may only be a radiance of Yours.

Shine through me, and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul.

Let them look up and see no longer me, but only Jesus!

Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.

The light, O Jesus, will be all from You; none of it will be mine.

It will be you, shining on others through me.

Let me thus praise You the way You love best, by shining on those around me.

Let me preach You without preaching, not by words but by my example, by the catching force of the sympathetic influence of what I do,

the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to You.

 Amen.

Saint Francis of Asisi Prayer

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace- Saint  Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred,

let me sow love.

Where there is injury, pardon.

Where there is doubt, faith.

Where there is despair, hope.

Where there is darkness, light.

Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.”

The first appearance of the Peace Prayer occurred in France in 1912 in a small spiritual magazine called La Clochette (The Little Bell). It was published in Paris by a Catholic association known as La Ligue de la Sainte-Messe (The Holy Mass League), founded in 1901 by a French priest, Father Esther Bouquerel (1855-1923). The prayer bore the title of ‘Belle prière à faire pendant la messe’ (A Beautiful Prayer to Say During the Mass), and was published anonymously. The author could possibly have been Father Bouquerel himself, but the identity of the author remains a mystery.

The prayer was sent in French to Pope Benedict XV in 1915. This was soon followed by its 1916 appearance, in Italian, in L’Osservatore Romano [the Vatican’s daily newspaper]. Around 1920, the prayer was printed by a French Franciscan priest on the back of an image of St. Francis with the title ‘Prière pour la paix’ (Prayer for Peace) but without being attributed to the saint. During World War II and immediately after, this prayer for peace began circulating widely as the Prayer of St. Francis.

I didn't get anything I wanted - I got everything I needed! God heard my prayers

Prayer of St. Teresa of Calcutta.

I asked God to take away my pride, and God said no. He said that pride is not taken away - it is denied.  I asked God to heal my bedridden daughter. God told me no. Her soul is safe, but her body will still die.  I asked God to give me patience, and God said no. He said that patience comes as a result of trials - it is not given, but deserved.  I asked God to give me happiness, and God said no. He said that he gives a blessing, and whether I am happy or not is up to me.  I asked God to protect me from the pain, and God said no. He said that suffering distracts a person from worldly worries and leads to Him.  I asked God for my spirit to grow, and God said no. He said that the spirit must grow on its own.  I asked God to teach me to love all people as He loves me. Finally, the Lord said, you understood that you had to ask.  I asked for patience, and God sent me trials to harden me.  I asked for wisdom, and God sent me problems to think about.  I asked for courage - and God sent me dangers.  I asked for love - and God sent the unfortunate who needed my help.  I asked for blessings - and God gave me opportunities.  I didn't get anything I wanted -  I got everything I needed!  God heard my prayers.

Prayer for Home Protection Against Demons – Fr. Amorth

Dear Lord Jesus, please surround me (my family/friends/home) with a perimeter of Your Love and Protection throughout the day today and every day a hundred yards in all directions.

Lord Jesus, render any demons that are here, or should try to come, deaf, dumb, and blind. Strop them of all weapons, illusions, armor, power, and authority. Bind, sever, and separate them, sending them directly to the foot of Your Cross, without manifestation or harm, to us or to anyone, to be dealt with by you Jesus as you see fit.

May Your Precious Blood cover us, the Holy Spirit fill us, Mary’s mantle of love and protection surround us, St. Joseph guide us, the Holy Angels and Saints guard and protect us from all unfortunate events. Prayer To The Sacred Heart of Jesus

 O, Sacred Heart of Jesus,

filled with Infinite Love,

broken by our ingratitude,

and pierced by our sins,

yet loving us still,

accept the consecration we make to Thee

of all that we are and all that we have.

Take every faculty of our souls and bodies,

only day by day draw us nearer and nearer to Thy Sacred Heart,

and there, as we shall hear the lesson,

teach us Thy Holy Way.

Amen.

Saint Francis of Asisi

October 4 is the Memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi, friar and preacher!

1. St. Francis came from a wealthy family but he gave up luxurious living, and live a life of  poverty and total dependence on the good God, after hearing the Lord’s voice who commanded him to rebuild the Christian church. No one else in history was as dedicated as him in imitating the life and carrying out the work of Christ in Christ’s way. He was the first to receive the stigmata, the wounds of Christ in his hands and feet.

2. He established the Franciscan Order of friars known as street preachers with no possessions, and the women's Order of the Poor Ladies. He composed the “Rule of life” for the Franciscans.

3. He preached to people about the life of Jesus Christ. With his evangelical zeal, consecration to poverty, charity, and  his incredible charisma, he drew thousands of followers. He practised true equality by showing utmost respect and love to every person regardless of their status in life. He helped and cared for the sick, the poor, and even lepers. He had great veneration for the Eucharist and respect for the priests who carried out the sacraments.

4. He was the first to set up the nativity scene.

5. He recognized creation as manifestation of the beauty of God. He loves nature and can communicate with animals. He persuaded a wolf by making the sign of the cross to stop attacking the people and their livestock.

6. St. Francis’ response to God’s grace and calling in his life was remarkable. He is a shining example of carrying out the great commission equipped with boldness and grace by the Holy Spirit. Through his obedience, sacrifice, and humility, his love for God and service for others, he has left a legacy that serves as inspiration to all.

PRAYER

Oh Lord, You imprinted the sacred marks of Thy Passion on the body of blessed father Francis, mercifully grant that by his merits and prayers, may we find relief in the current difficulties the world is experiencing.

Beloved Saint Francis, obtain for us and for our families, relatives, and friends the blessings, providence, healing, mercy, and protection of God now and always.

Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us and the whole world. Amen!

Let us unite ourselves to the prayer of Pope Francis to Mary during this trying time of coronavirus pandemic

Pope Francis’s Prayer to Mary during Coronavirus Pandemic

O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of Your People, know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen. ❤️

Let Us Say This Prayer To Our Lady of Perpetual Help To Bless Our Home and Family

Our Mother of Perpetual Help, please hear our prayer.

PRAYER FOR THE HOME

Mother of Perpetual Help, we choose you as Queen of our homes.  We ask you to bless all our families with your tender motherly love.  May the Sacrament of Marriage bind husbands and wives so closely together that they will always be faithful to each other and love one another as Christ loves His Church.

We ask you to bless all parents, may they love and cherish the children whom God has entrusted to them.  May they always give them the example of a truly Christian life.  Help them to bring up their children in the love and fear of God.  Bless all children that they may love, honor, and obey their fathers and mothers.  To your loving care, we especially entrust the youth of today.

Give us all a sense of responsibility that we may do our part in making our home a haven of peace like your own home at Nazareth.   We take you as our model.  Help us to grow daily in genuine love of God and neighbor so that justice and peace may happily reign in the entire human family.  Amen.

Prayer To The Divine Mercy To Break All Setbacks In Your Life

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer to you today all the pains, struggles, failures, setbacks, discouragement and despair in my life. I join to your most Holy Wounds all the suffering, hardships and humiliations that I endured or enduring, being part of the body of Christ. I offer all the lost and locust years of my life, spent in negativity, despair, rejection and defeat. Today I seek the mercy of the Cross, to break the cycle of failures, neglect and setbacks. O Lord Jesus, I choose today the power of your Divine Mercy, emanating from the Cross, to break those repeated patterns and cycles of setbacks, failures and inequities plaguing my life. Today I claim the Word of God, the word that became life giving flesh, that of Divine Mercy. In confidence I claim the mercy of God promised in Romans Chapter 9: 15,16 : “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. It depends not on human will or exertion, but on God who shows mercy.” I claim this promise of God’s mercy, to do miracles in my life.  Let this mercy from the Cross, pierce and penetrate my bone and marrow, to uplift and completely transform me and my family for generations to come. May your Divine Mercy O Lord Jesus, go before me like an armoured vehicle breaking down and splitting apart - the Jericho walls, the bronze gates, the red seas and the mighty mountains – which is standing  my way of growth and transformation. From this very moment Lord Jesus, I choose to walk by faith and not by sight, as I claim the Divine Mercy into every area of stagnation...

By the power of the Divine Mercy, I now claim the Psalm of Restoration as in Chapter 126 :

1 When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,[a]

we were like those who dream.

2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,

    and our tongue with shouts of joy;

then it was said among the nations,

“The Lord has done great things for them.”

3 The Lord has done great things for us,

    and we rejoiced.

4 Restore our fortunes, O Lord,

like the watercourses in the Negeb.

5 May those who sow in tears

    reap with shouts of joy.

6 Those who go out weeping,

    bearing the seed for sowing,

shall come home with shouts of joy,

    carrying their sheaves.

Mother Mary, Queen of all patriarchs and prophets, intercede for me and all your children, who have recourse to thee. Mother most faithful, Increase my faith to say Yes to God’s plan, as you taught us in your fiat. To accept in faith - the joy, the cross and the ultimate Glory through your son Jesus, in accordance with the will of God. Remind me O Virgin most powerful, that the mighty one, my Lord Elshaddai, has done great things for me in the past and that his mighty hands will do the impossible for me in the present and in the future. Amen.

Repeat the prayer as many times possible... And may the Power of His Divine Mercy sanctify and build you up, breaking the repeated patterns of failures and sin.

PRAYER IN HONOR OF MARY’S NATIVITY

THE NATIVITY OF THE VIRGIN MARY
September 8, 2019

“Jesus is the mediator of justice; Mary obtains for us grace; for, as St. Bernard, St. Bonaventure, St. Bernardine of Siena, St. Germanus, St. Antoninus, and others say, it is the will of God to dispense through the hands of Mary whatever graces He is pleased to bestow upon us. With God, the prayers of the saints are the prayers of His friends, BUT THE PRAYERS OF MARY ARE THE PRAYERS OF HIS MOTHER.”
~ Saint Alphonsus Liguori

IN HONOR OF MARY’S NATIVITY
By Saint Anselm.

Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O sacred Virgin; give me strength against thine enemies, and against the enemy of the whole human race. Give me strength humbly to pray to thee. Give me strength to praise thee in prayer with all my powers, through the merits of thy most sacred nativity, which for the entire Christian world was a birth of joy, the hope and solace of its life.

When thou wast born, O most holy Virgin, then was the world made light. Happy is thy stock, holy thy root, and blessed thy fruit, for thou alone as a virgin, filled with the Holy Spirit, didst merit to conceive thy God, as a virgin to bear Thy God, as a virgin to bring Him forth, and after His birth to remain a virgin.

Have mercy therefore upon me a sinner, and give me aid, O Lady, so that just as thy nativity, glorious from the seed of Abraham, sprung from the tribe of Juda, illustrious from the stock of David, didst announce joy to the entire world, so may it fill me with true joy and cleanse me from every sin.

Pray for me, O Virgin most prudent, that the gladsome joys of thy most helpful nativity may put a cloak over all my sins. O holy Mother of God, flowering as the lily, pray to thy sweet Son for me, a wretched sinner. Amen.

Meditate on the most comforting and effective passage of the scripture for protection in this time of Covid19 pandemic

As a psalm of protection, it is commonly invoked in times of hardship. Though no author is mentioned in the Hebrew text of this psalm, Jewish tradition ascribes it to Moses, with David compiling it in his Book of Psalms. The Greek Septuagint translation of the Old Testament attributes it to David. - Wikipedia

As the Times of Trouble are upon us, the prayer of Psalm 91 is comforting and effective when prayed from the heart by those who love God and are in relationship with Him.

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 No harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 They will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
