O EVER-IMMACULATE VIRGIN MARY, Mother of Mercy, Health of the sick, Refuge of sinners, Comforter of the afflicted, You know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings; look with mercy on me.

By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes,

You were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence You dispense Your favours; and already many sufferers have obtained the Cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal.

I come, therefore, with complete confidence to implore Your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the grant of my requests… if it is accordingly to the Will of GOD!

Through gratitude for Your favours,

Prayer for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception

 FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

December 8 

O most pure Virgin Mary conceived without sin, from the very first instant, you were entirely immaculate. O glorious Mary full of grace, you are the mother of my God – the Queen of Angels and of men. I humbly venerate you as the chosen mother of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Prince of Peace and the Lord of Lords chose you for the singular grace and honor of being His beloved mother. By the power of His Cross, He preserved you from all sin. Therefore, by His power and love, I have hope and bold confidence in your prayers for my holiness and salvation.

May your prayers give me the grace to imitate your holiness and submission to Jesus and His Divine Will.

Queen of Heaven, I beg you to pray to Jesus my Savior to grant me these requests… (Mention your intentions)

My Holy Mother, I know that you were obedient to the will of God. In making this petition, I know that God’s will is more perfect than mine. So, grant that I may receive God’s grace with humility as you did.

As my final request, I ask that you pray for me to increase in faith, hope and love in our risen Lord Jesus! 

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Immaculate Conception - December 8

 

December 8th, is the feast of the Immaculate Conception. It celebrates an important point of Catholic teaching, and it is a holy day of obligation.


The Immaculate Conception is a doctrine of the Roman Catholic church that states that the Virgin Mary was free of original sin from the moment of her conception.


CONSECRATION PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION


The Immaculata prayer is a Traditional Catholic Marian prayer composed by Saint Maximillian Kolbe.


It is a prayer of consecration to the Immaculata, i.e. the immaculately conceived Virgin Mary.


The consecration prayer is as follows:


O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.
If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: "She will crush your head," and "You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world." Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Immaculata, Queen and Mother of the Church, I renew my consecration to you for this day and for always, so that you might use me for the coming of the Kingdom of Jesus in the whole world. To this end I offer you all my prayers, actions and sacrifices of this day.
