Our Lady of Lourdes,

 Mother of Christ, you had influence with your divine son while upon the earth. You have the same influence now in heaven. Pray for us; obtain for us from your Divine Son our special requests if it be the Divine Will. Amen.

Be blessed, O most pure Virgin, for having vouchsafed to manifest your shining with life, sweetness, and beauty, in the Grotto of Lourdes, saying to the child, St. Bernadette, “I am the Immaculate Conception.” A thousand times we congratulate you upon your Immaculate Conception. And now, O ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of mercy, Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, Comforter of the afflicted, you know our wants, our troubles, our sufferings Deign to cast upon us a look of mercy.

By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favors, and already many have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and physical. We come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain for us, O loving Mother, the granting of our request --- (NAME YOUR REQUEST) ---

Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of Lourdes –

The Immaculate Conception

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Virgin Immaculate,

you appeared 18 times to Bernadette at the grotto in Lourdes

to remind Christians of what the truths in the Gospel require of them.

You call them to prayer, penance, the Eucharist, and the life of

the church.

To answer your call more fully,

I dedicate myself, through you, to your Son Jesus Christ.

Make me willing to accept what He said.

By the fervor of my faith,

by the conduct of my life in all its aspects,

by my devotion to the sick,

let me work with you in the comforting of those who suffer

and in the reconciliation of people

that the church may be one and there be peace in the world.

All this I ask, confident that you, Our Lady, willfully answer my prayer.

Blessed be the Holy and Immaculate Conception of the

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God. Amen.

I am the Lord thy God, thou shall not have any gods before me.

Prayer to Saint Joseph

O Saint Joseph, you are

the faithful protector and

intercessor of all who love

and venerate you.

I humbly commend myself,

with all who are dear to

me and all that belong

to me, to your intercession.

I beg of you, by your love

for Jesus and Mary, not to

abandon me during life and

to assist me at the hour

of my death. Amen.

Prayer to the Mother of God

O Mary, my Mother and my Lady, I offer you my soul, my body, my life and my death, and all that will follow it. I place everything in your hands. O my Mother, cover my soul with your virginal mantle and grant me the grace of purity of heart, soul and body. Defend me with your power against all enemies, and especially against those who hide their malice behind the mask of virtue (79). Fortify my soul that pain will not break it. Mother of grace, teach me to live by God's power (315).

O Mary, a terrible sword has pierced your holy soul. Except for God, no one knows of your suffering. Your soul does not break; it is brave, because it is with Jesus. Sweet Mother, unite my soul to Jesus, because it is only then that I will be able to endure all trials and tribulations, and only in union with Jesus will my little sacrifices be pleasing to God. Sweetest Mother, continue to teach me about the interior life. May the sword of suffering never break me. O pure Virgin, pour courage into my heart and guard it (915).

You are the safest place

You are the God of Grace

Forgiven, loved and held by you

Is each small seed of faith.

You know our thoughts and feelings

You see our deep desires

You understand our weariness

And catch each tear we cry.

You walk beside us every day

You are a constant friend

You stay with us all through the night

On you we can depend.
