A Prayer to the Most precious Blood of Jesus

 

O Most Precious Blood of Jesus,

I adore You, I worship You, and I praise You. I acknowledge the power and significance of Your shed Blood, which was poured out for the salvation of humanity.

Infinite and merciful Redeemer, Your Blood is the source of forgiveness and reconciliation. It is the price of our freedom and the foundation of our hope. Through Your Blood, we are washed clean of our sins and made new.

Most Precious Blood of Jesus, You are the fountain of life and holiness. You flow with love and mercy, offering us healing and redemption. I humbly come before You, seeking Your abundant grace and blessings.

I ask for the cleansing power of Your Blood to wash over me, purifying my thoughts, my words, and my actions. May it strengthen me in times of temptation and weakness, and grant me the courage to follow Your holy will.

Precious Blood of Jesus, I bring before You my joys and sorrows, my hopes and fears. Pour out Your grace upon me and all those who are in need. Heal the brokenhearted, comfort the afflicted, and grant peace to the restless souls.

Most Precious Blood of Jesus, I entrust myself and my loved ones into Your loving care. Protect us from all harm and deliver us from evil. May Your Blood shield us from every spiritual attack and bring us closer to the eternal joys of Heaven.

I unite my sufferings and sacrifices with Your Passion, knowing that through the power of Your Blood, all things are made new. Help me to embrace my cross and carry it with love, for the glory of Your Holy Name.

Most Precious Blood of Jesus, I offer this prayer in faith and with profound gratitude. May Your Blood continue to flow through the Church, nourishing and sanctifying her members.

Chaplet of the Precious Blood

Each bead of the Precious Blood Chaplet is, as it were, a chalice filled with the Divine Blood of Jesus, uplifted by Our Lady to the Eternal Father, imploring every grace necessary for your soul and body.

The chaplet consists of seven mysteries in which we meditate on the seven principal blood-sheddings of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. The beads number thirty three in honor of the thirty three years the Precious Blood flowed in the veins of Jesus before it was all poured out on the Cross for our salvation. Its seven petitions unite with each of the seven blood-sheddings, making up seven chapters in the gospel of Christ’s love for me: “He loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.”

To pray this chaplet, recite the Our Father on each of the thirty-three beads, completing each of the seven groups with the Glory Be, as thanksgiving to the Holy Trinity for this great gift of the Precious Blood.

While reciting this chaplet, you are asked to meditate on each of the seven blood-sheddings of Jesus.

1st Mystery: Jesus shed His Blood in the Circumcision.

Let us ask for chastity of soul and body. Say the Our Father five times then recite the following: “Incline unto my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.” Say one Glory Be, and complete the mystery by reciting: “We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants whom Thou has redeemed by Thy Precious Blood.”

2nd Mystery: Jesus shed His Blood whilst praying in the Garden of Olives.

Let us ask for the spirit of prayer. Say the Our Father five times then recite the following: “Incline unto my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.” Say one Glory Be, and complete the mystery by reciting: “We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants whom Thou has redeemed by Thy Precious Blood.”

3rd Mystery: Jesus shed His Blood in the scourging.

Let us ask for the grace of mortification. Say the Our Father five times then recite the following: “Incline unto my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.” Say one Glory Be, and complete the mystery by reciting: “We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants whom Thou has redeemed by Thy Precious Blood.”

4th Mystery: Jesus shed His Blood in the crowning with thorns.

Let us ask for contempt of worldly honors. Say the Our Father five times then recite the following: “Incline unto my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.” Say one Glory Be, and complete the mystery by reciting: “We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants whom Thou has redeemed by Thy Precious Blood.”

5th Mystery: Jesus shed His Blood while carrying His cross.

Let us ask for patience. Say the Our Father five times then recite the following: “Incline unto my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.” Say one Glory Be, and complete the mystery by reciting: “We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants whom Thou has redeemed by Thy Precious Blood.”

6th Mystery: Jesus shed His Blood in the crucifixion.

Let us ask for contrition for our sins. Say the Our Father five times then recite the following: “Incline unto my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.” Say one Glory Be, and complete the mystery by reciting: “We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants whom Thou has redeemed by Thy Precious Blood.”

7th Mystery: Jesus shed His Blood and water when His side was pierced.

Let us ask for the grace of perseverance. Say the Our Father three times then recite the following: “Incline unto my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.” Say one Glory Be, and complete the mystery by reciting: “We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants whom Thou has redeemed by Thy Precious Blood.”

Final Prayer

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ in satisfaction for my sins, for the needs of Holy Church and for the relief of the souls in purgatory.
