Devotion to the Shoulder Wound of Christ

Devotion to the Shoulder Wound of Christ

I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this Wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins, and will no longer remember their mortal sins.~Jesus

St. Bernard asked our Lord which was His greatest unrecorded suffering, and Our Lord answered: "I had on My Shoulder, while I bore My Cross on the Way of Sorrows, a grievous Wound, which was more painful than the others, and which is not recorded by men. Honor this wound with thy devotion, and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this Wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins, and will no longer remember their mortal sins."

Daily Prayer
O Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other wound of Thy Most Blessed Body. I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee, and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain, and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you, save souls, take care of everything, especially our prayers and the whole world joins us.
Amen.

HOW LONG DO SOULS REMAIN IN PURGATORY

HOW LONG DO SOULS REMAIN IN PURGATORY?

The length of time souls are detained in Purgatory depends on:

a) the number of their faults;

b) the malice and deliberation with which these have been committed;

c) the penance done, or not done, the satisfaction made, or not made for sins during life;

d) Much, too, depends on the suffrages offered for them after death

What can safely be said is that the time souls spend in Purgatory is, as a rule, very much longer than people commonly imagine.

We will quote a few of the many instances which are recounted in the lives and revelations of the Saints.

St. Louis Bertrand's father was an exemplary Christian, as we should naturally expect, being the father of so great a Saint. He had even wished to become a Carthusian monk until he learned that it was not God's will for him. When he died, after long years spent in the practice of every Christian virtue, his saintly son, fully aware of the rigors of God's Justice, offered many Masses and poured forth the most fervent supplications for the soul he so dearly loved.

A vision of his father still in Purgatory forced him to intensify a hundredfold his suffrages. He added most severe penances and long fasts to his Masses and prayers. Yet eight whole years passed before he obtained the release of his father.

St. Malachy's sister was detained in Purgatory for a very long time, despite the Masses, prayers and heroic mortifications the Saint offered for her!

It was related to a holy nun in Pampluna, who had succeeded in releasing many Carmelite nuns from Purgatory, that most of these had spent there terms of from 30 to 60 years!

Carmelite nuns in Purgatory for 40, 50 and 60 years! What will it be for those living amidst the temptations of the World and with all their hundreds of weaknesses?

St. Vincent Ferrer, after the death of his sister, prayed with incredible fervor for her soul and offered many Masses for her release. She appeared to him at length and told him that had it not been for his powerful intercession with God, she should have remained an interminable time in Purgatory.

In the Dominican Order it is the rule to pray for the Master Generals by name on their anniversaries. Many of these have been dead several hundred years! They were men especially eminent for piety and learning. This rule would not be
approved by the Church were it not necessary and prudent.

We do not mean to imply that all souls are detained equally long periods in the expiatory fires. Many have committed lesser faults and have done more penance.  Therefore, their punishment will be much less severe.

Still, the instances we have quoted are very much to the point, for if these souls who enjoyed the intimacy, who saw the example and who shared in the intercession of great Saints during their lives and were aided by their most efficacious suffrages after death were yet detained for such a length of time in Purgatory, what may happen to us who enjoy none of these wonderful
privileges?

The Divine Mercy Chaplet: How to Recite

How to Recite the Chaplet

The Chaplet of Mercy is recited using ordinary Rosary beads of five decades. The Chaplet is preceded by two opening prayers from the Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska and followed by a closing prayer.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

8. Repeat for the remaining decades
Saying the "Eternal Father" (6) on the "Our Father" bead and then 10 "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion" (7) on the following "Hail Mary" beads.

9. Conclude with Holy God (Repeat three times)
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

10. Optional Closing Prayers
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

O Greatly Merciful God, Infinite Goodness, today all mankind calls out from the abyss of its misery to Your mercy — to Your compassion, O God; and it is with its mighty voice of misery that it cries out. Gracious God, do not reject the prayer of this earth's exiles! O Lord, Goodness beyond our understanding, Who are acquainted with our misery through and through, and know that by our own power we cannot ascend to You, we implore You: anticipate us with Your grace and keep on increasing Your mercy in us, that we may faithfully do Your holy will all through our life and at death's hour. Let the omnipotence of Your mercy shield us from the darts of our salvation’s enemies, that we may with confidence, as Your children, await Your [Son’s] final coming — that day known to You alone. And we expect to obtain everything promised us by Jesus in spite of all our wretchedness. For Jesus is our Hope: through His merciful Heart, as through an open gate, we pass through to heaven (Diary, 1570).

-A Psalm taken from various psalms:

Praise the Lord from heaven: praise Him on high
Praise Him, all His Holy Angels: praise Him all His Virtues
Bless the Lord, all ye His Angels, you who are mighty in strength: execute His word, hearkening to His spoken word.
Bless the Lord, all ye his hosts: you ministers of his that do his will.

The angel of the Lord shall encamp round about them that fear Him: and shall deliver them.
Glory be...

I will worship at Thy holy temple, and I will give glory to Thy name.
O Lord, hear our prayer.
And let our cry come unto Thee.

Prayer:
O God who in a wonderful order, disposest the services of angels and men; mercifully grant that they who in Heaven always wait Thy orders, may on Earth defend our lives, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Sorrowful Mystery of the Holy Rosary

The SORROWFUL MYSTERIES of the Holy ROSARY are a profound and reflective set of prayers that invite believers to meditate on significant events in the life of Jesus Christ. These mysteries focus on the intense suffering and sacrifice of Jesus, leading up to His crucifixion and death. As we contemplate these sorrowful moments, we are reminded of the immense love and redemption that Christ offered to humanity through His passion. The Sorrowful Mysteries invite us to enter into the depth of Christ's mercy and to find solace and strength in His unwavering example of love and obedience to God's will. Through the recitation of the rosary, we accompany the Blessed Virgin Mary in meditating on these sacred events, seeking comfort and guidance in our own trials and tribulations.

In this mystery of the Rosary, Let us ponder and pray that the Holy spirit will enlighten us how the fruit applies to its respective mystery and to embody that fruit in our own life. As we meditate on the fruits of the Sorrowful Mysteries, Lord, open our hearts to receive the fruits and we ask Jesus and Mary to reveal where we can grow in that fruit. May the grace of YOur Agony, Lord, come down into our soul and make us truly contrite and perfectly obedient to Your holy will.

Prayer for Special Petition to Our Lady,Most Holy Virgin Mary

MOST HOLY VIRGIN MARY, my Mother, I kneel before you with heavy heart. The burden of my sins oppresses me. The knowledge of my weakness discourages me. I am beset by fears and temptations of every sort. Yet I am so attached to the things of this world that instead of longing for Heaven I am filled with dread at the thought of death.

O Mother of Mercy, have pity on me in my distress. You are all-powerful with JESUS CHRIST, your Divine Son. He can refuse no request of your IMMACULATE HEART. Show yourself a true Mother to me by being my Advocate before His throne. O Refuge of Sinners and Hope of the Hopeless, to whom shall I turn if not you?
Obtain for me, then, O Mother of Hope, the grace of true sorrow for my sins, the gift of perfect resignation to GOD's Holy Will, and the courage to take up my cross and follow JESUS. Beg of His SACRED HEART the special favor that I ask in this novena…

But above all I pray, O dearest Mother of Perpetual Help, that through your most powerful intercession my heart may be filled with Holy Hope, so that in life's darkest hour I may never fail to TRUST in GOD my Savior, but by walking in the way of His Commandments I may merit to be united with Him, and with you in the eternal joys of Heaven! Amen.
O MARY, our Help, have pity on us.
HOPE of the Hopeless, pray for us.

HAIL MARY, FULL OF GRACE…

Memorare Of Our Lady, Blessed Virgin Mary

The "Memorare" is a well-known Catholic prayer that is often recited as a form of intercession and supplication to the Virgin Mary. Its name comes from the Latin word "memorare," which means "remember."

The prayer is believed to have originated in the 15th century and is attributed to Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, a prominent French abbot and theologian. However, its exact authorship is uncertain, and it has been attributed to other figures throughout history as well.

The Memorare is a short but powerful prayer that expresses a believer's trust in the Virgin Mary's intercession and her maternal care. It is a plea for Mary's assistance in times of difficulty, seeking her help and guidance in times of need.

The prayer begins with the invocation: "Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary." It acknowledges Mary's compassion and her role as the Mother of God. It continues with the plea for her help, saying, "that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided."

The Memorare expresses the believer's confidence in Mary's ability to bring their petitions before her Son, Jesus Christ. It acknowledges her closeness to Jesus and her role as a compassionate and merciful advocate for all who call upon her.

The prayer concludes with a request for Mary's intercession, saying, "Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen."

The Memorare is a widely cherished prayer in the Catholic tradition and is often recited individually or in group settings. It is particularly popular during times of distress, seeking Mary's intercession for protection, guidance, and assistance in various life situations.

The prayer is seen as a way to deepen one's devotion to Mary and to seek her motherly care. It is a reminder of the believer's reliance on Mary's intercession and her powerful role in the spiritual journey.

Overall, the Memorare is a heartfelt plea to the Virgin Mary for her assistance and intercession. It reflects the Catholic belief in Mary's role as a loving and compassionate mother who is ever ready to listen to the prayers of her children and to bring their petitions before God.

PRAYERS TO THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS

Blood of Christ, also known as the Most Precious Blood, in Christian theology refers to the physical blood actually shed by Jesus Christ primarily on the Cross, and the salvation which Christianity teaches was accomplished thereby, or the sacramental blood (wine) present in the Eucharist or Lord's Supper. This Blood, when worthily received, drives away demons and puts them at a distance from us, and even summons to us angels and the Lord of angels. This Blood, poured out in abundance, has washed the whole world clean. This is the price of the world; by it Christ purchased the Church…The believer is not only saved, redeemed, and justified by the blood of Christ, but the blood sets the believer free from the power of sin and makes him holy and enables him to grow in Christ likeness by the work of the Holy Spirit. The precious blood from the sinless Savior is the only means of salvation for lost man. If there is one subject more than any another that Satan would oppose, it is the Blood! He would like nothing more than to turn our minds away from this truth.

As Hebrews 9:14 explains, the blood of Christ, shed for our sake, cleanses “our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!” For all who trust in Christ, we are washed in his blood, fully cleansed from sin so that we may serve him! Lord Jesus, you wash us and make us fully clean.

First John 1:7 tells us: “The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.” So when we confess our sins to God, we're forgiven of our sins and cleansed from them by the blood of Jesus.

A Powerful Prayer to be Said Before Praying

“Almighty Father, I place the Precious Blood of Jesus before my lips before I pray, that my prayers may be purified before they ascend to Your divine altar.” – St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi

The “Constant” Prayer of St. Catherine of Siena

“Precious Blood, ocean of divine mercy: Flow upon us! Precious Blood, most pure offering: Procure us every grace! Precious Blood, hope and refuge of sinners: Atone for us! Precious Blood, delight of holy souls: Draw us! Amen.”

Offering of the Precious Blood

“Eternal Father, I offer You the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ in atonement for my sins, and in supplication for the holy souls in Purgatory and for the needs of Holy Church.” – The Raccolta

When blessing yourself with Holy Water

“By this Holy Water and by Your Precious Blood, Lord Jesus, wash away all my sins.”

When entering or leaving your house

“Precious Blood of Jesus, shed on the Cross for us, bless this house. Take it under Thy protection.”

Precious Blood Prayer in Response to Requests from Our Lord

“Dear Jesus, moved by an impulse of love, and with purity of intention, I wish to cover my humble labors with Your merits and bathe them in the supernatural gold of Your Precious Blood. I desire to consecrate my life to the saving of souls and the extension of Your glory, and I beg the Heavenly Father for as many souls as You shed drops of Blood during Your Passion.” – Sr. Josefa Menendez

Pleading the Blood of Jesus

“Father in heaven, may we all be cleansed by the saving Blood of Jesus; may our consciences be purged of dead works. Scripture says that evil is defeated by the Blood of the Lamb, so we ask that the Blood of Jesus cover all who are in need of protection (all civil, religious and lay leaders, our families, friends, enemies, all those for whom we have promised to pray, and ourselves). We mark the borders of our nation and the doorposts of our churches, homes, schools and places of employment with the Precious Blood of Jesus. Also, we cover our vehicles that no one may ever be injured through them. Thank You, Lord, for shedding Your Blood for us. May the Water and Blood that came from the side of Jesus create a protecting fountain of grace, one which flows directly from the throne of God to us. Come, Lord, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit.”

Prayer of St. Faustina

“O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You.”

Prayer of Protection by the Precious Blood - St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

Lord JESUS, by faith in your merits, I now take your Precious Blood and sprinkle it over myself and my family right from the crown of my head to the very soles of my feet. I claim total and complete protection for my life and my family.

Blessed Virgin Mary, you witnessed the challenges and joys of motherhood with your own divine Son, Jesus Christ. You know the depth of a parent's love and the desires of their hearts for the well-being and happiness of their children. Most merciful Mother, I also ask you to intercede for my children's health and well-being. If they are facing any physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges, please bring them healing, comfort, and peace. Strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits so that they may flourish and fulfill the purpose that God has for them.

Lastly, dear Lady, I ask for your intercession in their future endeavors. Guide them in their studies, careers, and relationships. Help them discover their unique talents and use them for the greater glory of God and the service of others. May they always find fulfillment and happiness in their vocations, whatever they may be.

O Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with unwavering trust, I place my children into your gentle hands. Thank you for your maternal love and constant care. I am confident that with your intercession, they will experience the blessings of God's grace and be led safely to eternal life. Amen.

Jesus, Teach Me To Forgive

Loving Jesus,

You who have shown us the way of forgiveness through your own example on the cross, I come before you with a humble and contrite heart, seeking your guidance and strength. Teach me, dear Lord, the true meaning of forgiveness.

You, who willingly embraced suffering and endured the weight of our sins, forgive me for the times I have held onto anger, resentment, and grudges. Help me to release these burdens and let go of the pain that binds my heart.

Grant me the wisdom to see others through your compassionate eyes, understanding that they too are flawed and in need of your mercy. Help me to recognize that forgiveness is not condoning or forgetting the wrongdoing but rather choosing to let go of the hurt and entrusting justice into your hands.

Lord, I acknowledge that forgiveness is not always easy, and at times it may seem impossible. But with your grace and strength, I know that all things are possible. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, so that I may find the courage to forgive those who have wronged me, just as you have forgiven me.

Teach me to be patient and understanding, to offer love and compassion even to those who have hurt me deeply. Help me to break the cycle of resentment and vengeance, and to replace it with the healing power of forgiveness.

May forgiveness be a transformative force in my life, restoring relationships, bringing inner peace, and fostering reconciliation. Through forgiving others, may I experience the freedom that comes from embracing your divine mercy.

Lord Jesus, as I strive to forgive, grant me the grace to seek reconciliation where possible and to work towards healing the wounds that have caused division. Give me the strength to extend forgiveness not just once, but as often as necessary, following your example of unlimited love and mercy.

I surrender my hurts, my pain, and my desire for revenge into your loving hands. Help me to live out the prayer you taught us, "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."

In your holy and compassionate name, I pray.

Amen

CATHOLIC PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE AND PROTECTION

Here's a Catholic prayer for deliverance and protection:

"Heavenly Father, I come before you in humble submission, seeking your deliverance and protection. I acknowledge my dependence on your love and mercy, and I ask for your grace to overcome the challenges and trials that I face.

In the name of Jesus, I renounce any bondages, strongholds, or negative influences that may have a hold on me. I invite your Holy Spirit to fill me, to cleanse me, and to empower me with your divine strength.

Lord, I pray for your protection over every aspect of my life. Guard me against the snares of the enemy and shield me from harm. Surround me with your heavenly angels, who are mighty in power and ready to defend me.

I ask for deliverance from any evil spirits or demonic forces that may be oppressing me. By the authority of Jesus Christ, I command every unclean spirit to leave and never return. I invite your Holy Spirit to fill the empty places and bring forth your light and peace.

Heavenly Father, I trust in your providence and your wisdom. Help me to discern right from wrong, to choose what is pleasing to you, and to resist the temptations that may come my way. Strengthen me in faith, hope, and love.

Grant me the courage to walk in righteousness, even when the path is difficult. Give me the grace to forgive those who have wronged me and to seek reconciliation where possible. Help me to extend your love and mercy to others.

Lord, I place my life and all my concerns into your loving hands. I surrender my fears, anxieties, and burdens to you, knowing that you are my refuge and strength. May your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I make this prayer in the holy name of Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints. Amen."

Remember, prayer is a personal conversation with God, and you can always adapt or modify this prayer to suit your own specific needs and circumstances.

Prayer to Remove Generational Spirits by Fr Ripperger -Deliverance Prayer

(Click above for the prayer on video)

Fr. Ripperger defines generational spirits as thus:
Generational spirits are normally passed when one person commits some kind of grave sin, introducing the demon into the household

Generational spirits can be blocked and removed from a family tree by members of the family reciting various prayers.

Prayers of spiritual protection protect us from evil. Commit yourself to these prayers and trust in the Lord to deliver you. These prayers will guide you.

Spiritual Warfare Prayer

For the removal of generational spirits

Lord Jesus Christ Incarnate Son of God the Father,

Thou who hast chosen to enter into human history by being carried in the womb of Thy Blessed Mother Mary, grant, I beseech Thee, that any demons that may have been introduced into my generational line by any one of my ancestors may be blocked from passing to the subsequent generations.

I ask Thee that if the evil spirit entered the generational line by the sin of one or more of my ancestors, that Thou wouldst pardon the temporal punishment due to their sin and free us from the demon’s involvement in our lives.

Blessed Virgin, we ask thee to offer the Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of thy Son to God the Father in reparation for the sins that may have resulted from the evil spirits affecting those of the generational line. If any evil spirit has been introduced into my generational line as a result of a curse or malefice done by someone outside my family, I ask thee to give me the grace to forgive them whole heartedly and I ask Thee, Jesus, to break the curse or malefice if it is still in place.

God the Father, I forgive them for any of the effects of their sin that they may have committed against my family line and for any damage it may have caused.

Jesus, I ask Thee to forgive me of any sins that may be the result of any generational spirits in my family and I ask Thee to block any power the evil spirits may have gained in my generational line as a result of my own sin.
Heal any damage to the lives of the members of my family (N…) as a result of the generational spirit. I bind and completely and utterly reject, with the full force of my will any sin or spiritual defect of mine as well as any temptation, allurements or power that any generational spirit may have over me as a result of my sin or the sin of any other person. I do this in the Holy Name of Jesus and in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

How to Get Rid of Generational Spirits

How to be cured from a curse or generational demons

The most efficacious remedy for anyone suffering from a curse or generational spirits is to grow in virtue. If you want to grow in holiness you must do two things, work at it, and ask for it. Praying for virtues is important in receiving grace to overcome your sinful habits. But you must also know what the Church teaches about virtue and try to amend your life for love of God and practice living virtuously. On our own we can never hope to change ourselves, but it is through the grace of God that we are able to grow in holiness.
Try praying for virtues, humbly prayer asking God for assistance by Saint Thomas Aquinas. He is a wonderful resource for us to learn about growing in virtue, and his many writings can teach us about our faith.
If you are suffering with demonic attacks against your soul, turn to Jesus in the Eucharist. Like Paul, convert and follow Christ in total abandon. Turn to Jesus right now in your suffering. Find Him in the adoration chapel and kneel there in prayer. Offer a Holy Hour in adoration. Ask Him to speak to your heart. Then wait upon the Lord for His answer. Amend your life. Begin a radical transformation from your brokenness into a powerful disciple who acts with deep love for Christ. Have deep trust in His words, and deep faith that with Him, through Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, you can come to the Father and be saved.

Mortal sins hinder the soul in need of deliverance. The devil knows our weaknesses and desires to keep us subject to our sins. Evil spirits are continually accusing us night and day. They use our memories to remind us of our unworthiness and damnable qualities. How do we wage war against the accusations in our minds? By not committing any more mortal sins. Mortal sins in a family line invite demons into your life. There are many sins that seem to run in families, through generations. Why is this so? Why are they so hard to break? Is it purely natural? Do we just imitate what we see? Or is there a supernatural element to these attacks of the mind, body and soul?

If you are a victim of a satanic curse, one that was put on you through the malice of another soul, then your only true cure is your own repentance and reception of the Holy Eucharist. The best way to rid yourself of this curse is regular confession and daily Mass. Through these spiritual practices you will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to forgive the person who cursed you, whether they are known to you or not. This is vital for your healing. Remember that God wills our suffering for the salvation of our souls. Look upon your situation and your suffering as a gift from God in order to sanctify your soul and draw you closer to Him. He is willing this suffering because he loves you deeply. God knows our limitations and He knows what it will take to move our souls toward reconciliation with Him.

Did you know that praying for your deceased loved ones and asking God to forgive their sins is another way to cleanse your family tree from generational spirits? Offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for these souls is also beneficial. By uniting with Christ in your suffering you have the power to make a difference in your family bloodline, for those who have gone on before you, and for your posterity.

Spend a few minutes before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament today. Give Him thanks and praise. Return His love for love and offer yourself for the salvation of souls. Give Him your consent to use your current suffering as a means to draw you closer to Him and to heal your family.

CONSECRATION TO OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, or Virgin of Carmel, is the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary in her role as patroness of the Carmelite Order, particularly within the Catholic Church. The first Carmelites were Christian hermits living on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land during the late 12th and early to mid-13th century.
This is a devotional sacramental signifying the wearer's consecration to Mary and affiliation with the Carmelite order. It symbolizes her special protection and deliverance from purgatory. Whoever wears a scapular must be conscientious of their consecration to God and to the Virgin and be coherent in their thoughts, words, and deeds.

CONSECRATION TO OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

O Mary, Queen of all Saints,
who art the beauty of Carmel,
how sweet it is for me to venerate thee
under the title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Even from the days of the Apostles,
thou hast been honoured under this mystic title;
I am filled with joy as I consecrate myself to thee, O holy Mary,
most unworthy though I am to be thy servant,
yet touched by thy motherly care for me
and longing to serve thee,
in the presence of my Guardian Angel
and the court of Heaven,
I choose thee this day to be my Queen,
my Advocate, and my Mother,
and I firmly purpose to serve thee ever more
and to do what I can that all may render faithful service to thee.
Therefore, most devoted Mother,
through the Precious Blood thy Son poured out for me,
and through the promises of thee as Our Lady of Mount Carmel,
I beg thee, deign to take me among thy clients
and receive me as thy servant forever.
O beauty of Carmel,
glory of Libanus,
thou purest of lilies,
mystic rose in the garden of the Church,
I salute thee!
O Virgin of virgins,
be mindful of me in my misery,
and show thyself my Mother.
Shed upon me ever more and more
the living light of that faith
which made thee blessed;
inflame with that Heavenly love
wherewith thou didst love thy dear Son, Jesus Christ.
Do thou, Mother of God,
who hast such power and might,
obtain for me from blessed Jesus,
the Heavenly gifts of humility, chastity, and meekness,
which were the fairest ornaments of thine Immaculate soul.
Do thou grant me to be strong
in the midst of the temptations and bitterness
which so often overwhelm my spirit.
Aid me in every action,
and beg for me the grace, never,
by word or deed or thought,
to be displeasing in thy sight and that of thy most holy Son.
Think of me my dearest Mother,
and desert me not at the hour of death.
Amen.
(Here, you kiss your Scapular..)
Holy Virgin of Mount Carmel, Our Lady of the Scapular,
pray for us!

PRAYER TO OUR LADY, QUEEN OF ANGELS

THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS PRAYER
[Please Read]

The faithful are asked to say this prayer frequently and fervently. It is of great importance given the following remarkable background:

[1] The prayer was dictated by the Blessed Mother herself to the holy and venerable priest, Fr. Louis–Édouard Cestac, on January 13, 1863 as a means to combat the powers of Hell.

[2] An exorcism prayer in itself, this is a formidable prayer for “spiritual battle” especially needed for our times when the ravages caused by the fallen angels are everywhere conspicuous and unrelenting.

[3] It is a prayer approved by the Church: It was recommended to the faithful by Pope Pius IX, and later indulgenced by both Popes Leo XIII and Pius X.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY, QUEEN OF ANGELS

[ August Queen of Heaven Prayer ]
An Indulgence of 500 days.
(S. C. Ind., July 8, 1908; S. P. Ap., Mar. 28, 1935)

O, August Queen and our Lady of Angels,
who received from God the power and mission of crushing the head of Satan,
we humbly beg you to send us heavenly legions,
with Saint Michael the Archangel as head
so that under your orders they may chase the demons,
combat them everywhere,
repress their boldness,
and drive them back into the abyss.
“Who is like God?”
O good and tender Mother,
you shall always be our love and our hope.
O Divine Mother, send your holy angels to defend us,
and to drive away from us the cruel enemy.
Holy angels and archangels, defend us and guard us.
Amen.

Pray the Saint Michael Chaplet! Together, let us call upon the angels for their intercession.

The Chaplet of St. Michael is a wonderful way to honor this great Archangel along with the other nine Choirs of Angels.  St. Michael promised that whoever would practice this devotion in his honor would have, when approaching Holy Communion, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs. In addition, for thoseT who would recite the Chaplet daily, he promised his continual assistance and that of all the holy angels during life, and after death deliverance from purgatory for themselves and their relations.

THE CHAPLET OF ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
L: O God, come to my assistance.
R: O Lord, make haste to help me.
L: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
R: As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
[Say one Our Father and three Hail Marys after each of the following nine salutations in honor of the nine Choirs of Angels.]
Salutation 1: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Seraphim may the Lord make us worthy to burn with the fire of perfect charity. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 2: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Cherubim may the Lord grant us the grace to leave the ways of sin and run in the paths of Christian perfection. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 3: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Thrones may the Lord infuse into our hearts a true and sincere spirit of humility. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 4: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Dominations may the Lord give us grace to govern our senses and overcome any unruly passions. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 5: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Virtues may the Lord preserve us from evil and falling into temptation. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 6: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Powers may the Lord protect our souls against the snares and temptations of the devil. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 7: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Principalities may God fill our souls with a true spirit of obedience. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 8: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Archangels may the Lord give us perseverance in faith and in all good works in order that we may attain the glory of Heaven. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Salutation 9: By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Angels may the Lord grant us to be protected by them in this mortal life and conducted in the life to come to Heaven. Amen.
Our Father..., Hail Mary... (3x).
Say one Our Father in honor of each of the following leading Angels: St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael and our Guardian Angel.
CONCLUDING PRAYERS:
O glorious prince St. Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King and our admirable conductor, you who shine with excellence and superhuman virtue deliver us from all evil, who turn to you with confidence and enable us by your gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day.
Pray for us, O glorious St. Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ, that we may be made worthy of His promises.
Almighty and Everlasting God, Who, by a prodigy of goodness and a merciful desire for the salvation of all men, has appointed the most glorious Archangel St. Michael Prince of Your Church, make us worthy, we ask You, to be delivered from all our enemies, that none of them may harass us at the hour of death, but that we may be conducted by him into Your Presence. This we ask through the merits of Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
